GTKM – 2011 Smaller DIY projects

For this next GTKM post, here are some of the smaller home and do-it-yourself projects I tried in 2010. Again a lot of this stuff was completely new to me, but I didn’t let that stop me. I made plenty of mistakes, but eventually got the job done.

Found this trick on another blog - used an old kitchen towel to sew together little pouches, filled them with rice to reveal microwavable hand warmers to put in my mittens on a cold day =)

The crazy bush and ivy had to go...

Done and nicely mulched (plus new garage door - front door set to be installed in 2 weeks!)

We use the spare bedroom as a gym (membership is so expensive here that buying machines is way cheaper)

The old cat flap broke, so I replaced it with one that reads our cats microchips - no intruders allowed =p

That’s it for 2011. Now on to 2012…
