Doctorate Housewife

What my degree in IPE didn't teach me about baking, DIY, fitness, and life…

Temptation Tuesdays

This was a busy foodie week at Doctorate Housewife. The chocolate peanut butter combination (PB&C) gets me every time. And in an effort to have our cake and eat it too, Bakemasters not only resisted eating our goodies all in one night (hard oh so very hard =p), but we also ran our first 6k together. Check out our triumph. It went so well that now we’re putting together a team for Brussels Ekiden in October. Yay for fitness, PB&C, and friends!

Foodie posts this week on Doctorate Housewife:

Chubby Hubby Fudge: Chocolate, peanut butter, pretzel fudge with an extra peanut buttery boost

Homemade Butterfinger Test: Wonder what you might find? The cheater version using my favourite Halloween candy is the best so far…

National Grilled Cheese Month: Homemade tortillas with pesto, emmental, and cream cheese – all under the grill.

Bakemasters: Peanut Butter Chocoholics Anonymous: Peanut butter and chocolate heaven =D

Most viewed edible entry (post about food):

Chubby Hubby Fudge

Tempting tidbits from other blogs:

White Chocolate Chip Brownie Cookies (Simply Scratch): A brownie that’s a cookie with that perfect burst of white chocolate. I can’t wait to try these!

Classic Ice Cream Sandwiches (Smitten Kitchen): Who else ran outside all summer waiting for dusk, hoping to hear that wonderful bell. When the ice cream man finally did come, this is always the treat I would chose. And now I can make them at home – woot =)

Chocolate Fudge Brownies with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting (Brown Eyed Baker): Like Michelle, I spent a lot of time at Youth Group in high school. Oh how these brownies would have made it better…

Enjoy =) What have you been bookmarking this week? Anything vegetarian? Hubby and I have decided to try Meatless Mondays in May and I’m looking for recipes. Have any suggestions?

Love it Jessi! I’d read whatever you decided to write! For me, from weeks 7-15, nausea, food aversions, and exhaustion had me pretty preoccupied.
