Single Serving Treats – Brown Sugar Frosting or Homemade Speculoos Spread

Desperate for something sweet, but don’t want to make a whole batch of something? Want something quick that just hits the spot? Fan of speculoos spread? Then this is for you. The other day I just needed a bit of sugar and so I started experimenting. A bit of melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon later I knew I had found something. It’s not quite speculoos (Biscoff) spread, but it’s definitely in the genre, perfect for dipping with pretzels or cookies or even just a spoon =p

Here’s what you need:

  • 10g light butter (melted)
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • pinch cinnamon
  • 2-4 tbs powdered sugar (choose the consistency you prefer)

Here’s what you do:

  1. In a small bowl mix melted butter and brown sugar till dissolved. Add cinnamon.
  2. Stir in powdered sugar until you get your desired consistency.
  3. Find something to dip in it – enjoy =)
