What my degree in IPE didn't teach me about baking, DIY, fitness, and life…

Happy Independence Day!!

It’s the 4th of July, which means BBQs, fireworks, and parades. Living abroad means not so much of the fireworks or parades, but hubby and I try to make sure we mark the occasion. This year that means a BBQ – recipes and pictures to follow. In the meantime, here’s something to celebrate both Independence Day and National Ice-Cream Month: Peanut butter s’mores topping.

You see I had some leftover marshmallows from this recipe, some leftover chocolate sauce from this recipe, and a fresh batch of nut butter.

Now really there are a few ways to go with this treat. The first, and most obvious, is to go ahead and stuff it in your mouth – yum! The next is to wrap it in tin foil and stick it over your holiday BBQ – melty gooey yum! And finally, if you have the will power, fill a bowl with ice-cream. Take one of these out of the freezer, put in a microwave safe bowl and zap for 15-20 seconds. Pour over ice-cream and enjoy – melty gooey ice-cream yum!

Happy Independence Day & Happy Ice-Cream Month!!
