Happy October everybody =) I love October – the cool crisp air, the fresh apples, the pumpkin treats, and the candy, oh the candy. Halloween is coming and I’m starting to plan my costume. This year I want to be something that I can do while running. My friend Ciara gave me a great idea – Smurfette. I’m still working on the logistics, but I’m hoping to do a Trick or Treat Trot 5k, and well, you can’t do that with a costume. Today is also a pretty special day. My dad would want me to say that that’s because it’s his birthday, and that’s true – Happy Birthday Dad! But it’s also because it’s hubby and my wedding anniversary! Today we’ve been married 3 whole years (legally that is – because of the whole ex-pat thing we got married twice: once legally and once in the church) and I couldn’t be happier. So to celebrate, let’s look at sweets. You can’t have a celebration without cake, duh! =p
