Temptation Tuesdays

Punchbowl tells me that October is both National Dessert Month and National Pasta Month. Better yet, tomorrow is National Pasta Day – even more reasons to love October! Saturday was the long awaited Ekiden (relay marathon) and Team Bakemasters rocked it, despite massive rain =) Tonight is the annual Bakemasters pumpkin carving. I’m really excited. There’s orange velvet cupcakes baking in the oven and my jack-o-lantern to be is sitting on the balcony. Now I just have to figure out my costume. Time to show you the food…

Foodie posts this week on Doctorate Housewife:

Cocoa Nutmeg Snickerdoodles: a great twist on the standard cinnamon sugar of a normal snickerdoodle. Perfect for a cold Autumn day.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple 2 Ingredient Ice Cream: That two ingredient ice cream that’s been all over the web is no joke. Here’s my twist on it, which of course involves peanut butter =p

Most viewed edible entry (post about food):

Hello Kitty Caramel Cake with White Chocolate Frosting (for the third week in a row!)

Tempting tidbits from other blogs:

Pumpkin Crumb Cake (Hungry Couple): This amazing looking crumb cake has a huge crumb layer. This is definitely going on my pumpkin bucket list.

Apple Fritter Cake (Cookies & Cups): Breakfast, brunch, dessert, you decide =p

Mushroom Lasagna (Brown Eyed Baker): I love cheese, I love lasagna, I love mushrooms. I can’t wait to try this!

Congrats on the ekiden marathon!! Sometimes it’s fun to run in the rain…hope that was the case 😉

Orange velvet cupcakes and pumpkin carving?? Sounds like so much fun! We can’t wait to carve our pumpkins too.

It was pretty cold in the rain, but it seemed everybody had a good time. And we definitely had a good time with the pumpkins =)
